Hair Fetishist Has Brush With Law After Dollar Store Haircut

Getting your hair did never sounded so creepy.

An Oregon man with a history of hair-related misdemeanors allegedly got caught cutting off some of a woman's locks in an Oregon City Dollar Tree store, police said. Jared Walter, 27, has been arrested several times in the past for touching himself while secretly cutting a victim's hair, according to KPTV.

This time, he didn't get off so easily. The 31-year-old victim said she could feel him cutting her hair while she waited in line to pay for her items.

"So I just immediately started screaming and you know yelling like, 'get away from me,'" she told the station. "He is obviously showing that he is in no spot to be in public and is not a safe person."

Walter fled, but police tracked him down nearby. They charged him with harassment and also slapped him with a parole violation.

KPTV reports:

Walter pleaded guilty in May 2013 to charges including third-degree sex abuse and misdemeanor public indecency.

He was arrested after multiple reports of lewd acts on TriMet buses in Portland and Clackamas County.

Witnesses and surveillance video helped lead police to Walter. He was sentenced to jail time instead of prison, because the crimes he pleaded guilty to were misdemeanors. He was also not required to register as a sex offender.

The suspect's constant clandestine clippings have earned him the moniker "The TriMet Barber."

He was also reportedly arrested more than five years ago after police say he applied superglue to a woman's hair and then cut it while riding the bus.

He's currently in the Clackamas County Jail.
