Hangover Foods: The Worst Decisions You Can Make

Refrain! No matter how much you want to give in.

We don't always make the best choices when we've had too many drinks. Between the drunk texting, the string of whiskey shots followed by Jager shots followed by tequila shots followed by warm beer, and that plate of nachos you ate all by yourself, a night out can get you into all kinds of trouble. But the worst of it isn't what happens while you're inebriated, but how you feel when you wake up the next morning: wishing you would just die.

Hangovers are just trouble, guys (we know, this is not news to anyone). The aches. The nausea. The play-by-play of things you wish you had never said. But since we're not about to stop the drinking any time soon, it's time to learn how to ease the pain of hangovers -- or at least how to not make them worse. We've put together a list of foods you should avoid at all costs when hungover, researched solely by our own personal experiences. (Nothing scientific here.)

From one regretful lush to another, we recommend you stay away from these foods the morning after. If you disagree with our choices, don't be shy, tell us in the comments below.

12.) Meat Lovers Pizza
Too. Much. Grease.

10.) Orange Juice
Think about it guys, all that citrus! Opt for orange-flavored sports drinks instead.

8.) An Entire Pint Of Ice Cream
We know it's cold and sweet and seems to ease your headache as it's going down, but that bucket of sugar is going to destroy you. We're speaking from experience here.

5.) Brie Cheese
This doesn't always end well on a good night. Add a hangover to that and you can guarantee disaster.

4.) Double Cheese Burger
We've all said it, and some of us actually believe it, but it's just not true. Grease will not soak up the excess alcohol in your stomach -- no matter how much you want it to.

3.) Oysters
Normally super awesome, but not so much when you've got a belly full of day-old liquor.

2.) Cheese Fondue
While we commend you on your choice, we're pretty sure we don't have to explain why this is a bad idea.

1.) This
Whatever this is, and anything that looks like it, do not order it at brunch the morning after. Wait till the hangover passes and then get down with this amazing beast of a breakfast sandwich.
