'Hannibal': Dr. Lecter Encourages Will To Kill

While a disturbing new case took center stage on the second episode of NBC's "Hannibal," Will was still dealing with the emotional aftermath of shooting last week's killer. This meant he was forced into a therapy session with Dr. Hannibal Lecter, who was presenting some unorthodox ideas.

"It wasn’t the act of killing Hobbs that got you down, was it? Did you really feel so bad because killing him felt so good?” Hannibal asked Will.

"I liked killing Hobbs," Will conceded.

Buddy TV is on board with the show so far, but wonders why Dr. Lecter is so eager to get close to Will. Does he perhaps sense something familiar in his new colleague?

As for the new thriller, it debuted with solid -- if not spectacular -- numbers for NBC. The premiere brought in 4.3 million viewers, the best numbers the Peacock network has seen in that time slot in more than a year.

The twisted game of serial killer cat-and-mouse continues on "Hannibal," Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
