'Hannibal' On NBC: Our Favorite Killer Practices 'Hannipulation' By Helping Hide A Body (VIDEO)

Is Hannibal Grooming A Protege?

As NBC's deliciously twisted "Hannibal" progresses, Dr. Lecter's darkness certainly seems to be contagious. In this week's episode, our secret psycho helped Abigail Hobbs, the daughter of a serial killer, hide the body a man Abigail killed in self-defense. Did he see a kindred spirit in her?

Though Hannibal pointed out that most would believe Abigail was simply defending herself, "There would still be those who say you were taking after your father." After helping her dispose of the body, Hannibal promised to keep her secret, and Abigail, sensing there was more to the genial psychiatrist than meets the eye, promised to keep his.

BuddyTV noted that Hannibal was proving adept at "Hannipulation," and had found a potential protege in Abigail, while Collider said that "the series is already head and shoulders above 'The Following.'"

"Hannibal" airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
