Hans Kopper Crash Lands Plane In Mall Parking Lot (VIDEO)

WATCH: 81-Year-Old Crash Lands Plane In Mall Parking Lot

Everyone remember where we parked the plane.

Fark found footage from WTKR of a plane crash landing in a strip mall parking lot in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Both the plane's pilot, 81-year-old Hans Kopper, and his passenger escaped without injury. WTKR reports that Kopper's aircraft experienced engine trouble before it clipped a two-story parking garage and then landed in the parking lot.

Virginia State Police Senior Trooper J. Lister told the Virginia Gazette that Kopper was on a "pleasure flight" and that he left the Williamsburg Jamestown Airport at 10 a.m. before the crash at 11 a.m. on Monday.

Fire Department spokesperson Eric Stone told WAVY that the 1973 Cessna plane was totaled.

The story comes on the same day that WSBTV in Georgia reported on a small plane that landed in a backyard in Dekalb County, Ga.

Back in July, a New York man made headlines when he treaded water for 18 hours before being rescued after his Cessna plane crashed in Lake Huron.
