'Happy Endings' Renewed: ABC Orders Season 3

'Happy Endings' Renewed

ABC has renewed "Happy Endings." The cult favorite comedy will return for a third season, consisting of 22 episodes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series debuted strong on ABC to more than 7 million in April 2011, but quickly lost steam. After moving behind "Modern Family" during Season 2, "Happy Endings" found ratings success and built its audience. However, the Season 2 finale had 3.7 million viewers, but it aired without a "Modern Family" lead in.

"Happy Endings" stars Elisha Cuthbert as Alex, Eliza Coupe as Jane, Zachary Knighton as Dave, Adam Pally as Max, Damon Wayans, Jr. as Brad and Casey Wilson as Penny.

"Wife Swap" and "America's Funniest Home Videos" have also received orders for new seasons. ABC also recently renewed "Once Upon a Time," "The Middle," "Grey's Anatomy," "Suburgatory," "Castle," "Modern Family," "Dancing with the Stars," "Shark Tank" and "The Bachelor."
