Today I woke up and felt like I could do anything and that the world was a brighter place full of possibilities.
Yes it was brought on by Barack Obama becoming President (notice how I eliminate African American...he was the best choice black, white, red or blue) but not because he has changed anything yet. I mean he still has to go to human resources and start his first day at work......what a thought. But because I now fully take responsibility for my future. I will not sit back and say when is he going to do something? I'm going to help him. I determine the course of my life. I will not make excuses. I will do my part to be the best possible person I can be, because I can! I will not sit back and be part of the problem; I will be part of the solution. I will do one small thing everyday to make a difference. I will as an individual and a citizen of this united country do my part to be conscious of the world around me and my fellow human beings in it.
It's the very least I can do to help him on his first day at work.
That is what happened to me today.
