Harrison Ford Injured On 'Star Wars' Set

Harrison Ford was reportedly injured on the set of the new "Star Wars" movie and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

According to Disney, the actor was hospitalized in London after hurting his ankle while filming this week. “Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of 'Star Wars: Episode VII.' He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates," Disney said in a statement.

THR reported that Ford, who will reprise his role as Han Solo, was injured while filming by the door of the Millennium Falcon. Not much is know about the plot for J.J. Abrams' highly anticipated film, but "Episode VII" also stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong'o, Max von Sydow, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker. The film is set 30 years after "Return Of The Jedi."
