No one really debates over whether the "Harry Potter" series is great or not (because DUH. Of course it is), but we all for sure argue over who the best characters are. Maybe you're a fan of the major badassery of Sirius Black. Or perhaps you really see the good in people, so you adore Severus Snape. Perhaps you're a rooter for the underdog? We're guessing you might be a Neville Longbottom lover.
We all have our reasons for why we love who we love, but your favorite character says a lot more about you than you might think.
Harry Potter: You may not always wear your emotions on your sleeve, but you're incredibly loyal to your friends and family. You're more of a doer than a thinker, and you're braver than you may think.
Ron Weasley: You live in the now. You're also a great friend. However, you're sometimes prone to bouts of jealousy. You aspire to accomplish great things, and sometimes make the mistake of comparing your successes and shortcomings to the successes and shortcomings of others.
Hermione Granger: You're really smart, maybe kind of a know-it-all, but you really just love books and learning! You shouldn't be faulted for that. You're a natural problem-solver. You're a loyal, caring person, even if these traits can manifest themselves in an overly-protective, motherly manner.
Luna Lovegood: Your head is in the clouds most of the time, and you're very idealistic. You base many of your observations and choices on your intuition, and you're often correct. You have a calming presence, and you're also a very curious person.
Neville Longbottom: Perhaps you're an underdog. You might not perform well in school, and you might be scared of lots of things. But sooner or later, you'll find your place and you'll prove yourself!
Draco Malfoy: You get jealous easily, and you're very competitive. You're dying to have more power, and you're pretty ruthless about how you get it. Part of this may stem from an eagerness to impress not only your peers, but your family, too.
Fred and George Weasley: A bit of a jokester, are you? You're extremely friendly and outgoing; at the end of the day, you really just want to make people laugh.
Ginny Weasley: You have a quiet sort of confidence about you, and you're a bit of a tomboy. You're prone to infrequent but intense bouts of feistiness, which you may or may not have inherited from your mother.
Bill Weasley: You're a natural adventurer. You enjoy seeing the world, and you're pretty much not scared of anything.
Percy Weasley: You love order, and you're very traditional. You always want things to be JUST SO. You should probably loosen up a little (or a lot).
Cedric Diggory: Everyone adores you! You're kind of a big shot, but that doesn't mean you enjoy being the center of attention. You're brave, but you're also kind-hearted and authentic, and are therefore sometimes reluctant to take the spotlight.
Albus Dumbledore: You're definitely a total badass. You know the difference between right and wrong, and you will fight for what's right until the very end. You're a natural leader. You're probably also self-sacrificial, but isn't sacrificing yourself for the good of many the only way to go?
Sirius Black: First of all, you're super cool. You're a rebel at heart, and you don't care what other people say. You might also be a little...different, but you'll learn to work with it.
Severus Snape: Either you really tend to see the good and people, and you're a very empathetic person OR you were picked on a lot as a child, and you understand how that can make one a bitter adult. You're more on the reserved side, and you prefer to work alone. You take duty and loyalty very seriously.
Rubeus Hagrid: You might be scary in appearance, but appearances are deceiving. You are very sweet and gentle, and you love all animals, particularly the ones that seem the most ferocious. You hate conflict, and you're sensitive and kind. You're also a die-hard romantic.
Remus Lupin: Okay, so you can be moody at times. That doesn't make you any less of an excellent mentor, and the person your friends turn to for support and guidance. You're calm in a crisis most of the time.
Dobby: You're a little shy, but you'd do pretty much anything for your friends and loved ones.
Dolores Umbridge: You really do mean well, but you tend to be a little too by-the-book sometimes. You're always organized, and you're certainly never late - in fact, it bugs you when other people's lives aren't as put together as yours. Oh, and you love cats.
Minerva McGonagall: You might be a little uptight, but you're a good person. You get things done, and you're a natural organizer. You're very practical and matter-of-fact about things.
Lord Voldemort (formerly known as "Tom Marvolo Riddle"): You are hungry for power, and you'll do anything to get it. You're also just inherently evil.
Bellatrix Lestrange: Yikes. You're probably just really evil.
