Harry Styles’ week-long residency on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” is off to a hell of a start.
The “Sign of the Times” singer found himself in a bit of a sticky situation Monday night during an interview with Corden and actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson. The conversation began innocently enough, as Styles recounted a stage dive gone wrong. But the exchange soon went awry as Taylor-Johnson launched into his own anecdote ― a story about his chickens, who are named for the Kardashian-Jenner family.
You may recall that Styles and Kendall Jenner dated on and off between 2014 and 2016. The irony of the name choice wasn’t lost on Styles, who awkwardly sipped his tea as Taylor-Johnson listed off his chickens’ names.
It also apparently wasn’t lost on Corden either. When Taylor-Johnson explained that his “Kardashi-kens” just “lay every day,” Corden fired back, “Do they lay every day, Harry?”
As you can imagine, Styles took the joke exceedingly well.
Luckily, Styles recovered his composure in time to deliver a stunning performance of “Sign of the Times.” Check out his rendition below.
