Do you like raising money for charity? Do you like being outdoors? The staff at WorkerAnts.com sure does. So we thought we would take a moment to highlight some amazing activities that combine the two and are coming up in the next 3 months. These are not just your average 5/10k events (although we think those are great). These events not only get you outside, their organizers' thought outside the box and have created opportunities for fun and lasting memories while helping to raise much needed funds for very worthy causes. So whether you just like to see nature, are ready to push your endurance to the limit, or you are looking for an adventure, there is something here for you.

October 31, 2014 USA = On Halloween Day go trick-or-treating for UNICEF! You can order an orange box on their website and then ask for UNICEF donations as you trick-or-treat. It is a great way to teach your kids that you can have fun and give to others.

November 1, 2014 The Forest of Dean and Epping Forest, England = Join a group of fun loving walkers and spooky ghosts for this night time Fright Hike through the forest for Halloween. You can pick from a huge list of charities to support with your fundraising efforts.

November 2 - 9, 2014 Sahara Desert = Spend a week trekking through the Sahara Desert with the group from CharityChallenge. You will have a once in a lifetime experience and you and all the other participants will be fundraising for the charity of your choice.

November 8, 2014 Conwy, North Wales = Walk on Hot Coals. Yep, you read correctly. The Blind Veterans UK Fire Walk Challenge asks you the question, do you feel lucky? Hope you do as this event is raising money for a great cause.

November 16, 2014 Melbourne, Australia = Join The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet! It is thousands of people covered in powdered colors laughing, walking, running and dancing. The whole point is to have fun. While the event itself is not a charity event they highly encourage you to "run for a cause" and to that end they have partnered with a variety of organizations to help with fundraising.

December 5 & 6, 20 14 Great Falls & Billings, Montana = Get ready to check this item off your bucket list as you do a Polar Bear Plunge! This icy winter challenge is not for the faint of heart but you will be raising money for a great cause. All funds go towards Special Olympics.

December 5 - 13, 2014 Thailand = Take a Thailand Jungle Expedition. Trek, raft and kayak through the forests and mountains of the Thung Yai Nareusan Wildlife Sanctuary home of the Karen people and the Bridge over the River Kwai. You will visit one of the 4 villages that CharityChallenge helps in the region and you can fund-raise money for the cause of your choice.

December 7, 2014 London, UK = The annual Santa Run in Victoria Park. Join hundreds of other Santas as you run or walk to raise funds for one of hundreds of participating causes (you get to pick which one). Don't have a Santa suit? Don't worry, they provide them for all the runners! Not in London? There are similar events throughout December in cities across the world.

December 13, 2014 Baltimore, MD = Join a pre-game Tail-gating Party at MaGerks Pub on Federal Hill as they celebrate the 114th Army-Navy Football Game and raise awareness and funds for the Wounded Warrior Project.

If you don't find something here that appeals to you. Then you can check the WorkerAnts.com Funding & Grants resources to find a variety of companies that specialize in helping you have a great time while you fundraise. We found all the events above plus hundreds more on the sites listed there.
