Photographer Julian Tryba spent some time in Hawaii last December and became obsessed with the "complex relationship between the volcano and the clouds" on Mount Haleakalā, Maui's dormant volcano. Capturing foootage on the island of Oahu as well, Tryba wove together clips from 150 time-lapses, edited them down to 2 minutes, and proved that the clouds really do dance over Hawaii.
