Throughout the week there's a lot of things that make me say WTF! But two that continue to stand out include:

  • Millionaire celebrities choosing DUIs over a limo/taxi
  • Successful businessmen choosing hamburgers over steaks

The first is obviously out of stupidity, but what's wrong with the guy in the suit?

Meals are expensed, money is not an issue, and you make the rules. When lobster is an option, why are you choosing a cheap bowl of pasta?

If you don't have time to work out, why not leave work early or start work late?

If you can afford a personal chef or personal trainer, why wouldn't you get one?

These men and women are obviously very intelligent people, but a lot of them seriously struggle with their health and body composition. Many live by a set of principles, follow strict schedules, and demand efficiency and productivity in everything (else) they do, but continuously fall short in taking care of the most important thing.

"Man ... sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health." -- The Dalai Lama

The reality is, if you don't prioritize your health, it will eventually be prioritized for you. Every day is an opportunity to invest in a health stock that pays dividends for life and includes a disability and critical illness rider that may never pay out.
