18 Shots Fired In Alleged Spring Break Motel Rage

Turns out spring break shots can get you arrested.

Georgia native Heather Beaver, 21, allegedly went ballistic on her boyfriend during a spring break trip in Daytona Beach, Fla. this week, firing 18 rounds from his handgun in their motel room.

WESH reports that Beaver got into a fight with her beau at a biker bar during bike week on Wednesday, then returned to her motel alone. There she allegedly threatened suicide and grabbed his gun, firing it 18 times.

"You had a young lady who clearly was out of control with probably over 30 rounds of ammunition in that room, with walls that are paper thin, with people on the beach, people on the street," Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood told the station. "I mean she could have come out and charged anybody."

Cops used eight canisters tear gas to subdue the combative woman because, they say, she fired more shots in her room when they arrived. She eventually surrendered and was arrested. She'd been drinking all day and was distraught all the way to her jail cell, the Sun Sentinel reports.

Nobody was injured.

Investigators told the Daytona Beach News-Journal that Beaver was angry with her boyfriend because he cheated on her.

She faces a host of charges, including attempted murder of an officer.
