Helena Christensen, Kipling Team Up For Bag Collection

Helena Christensen Teams Up With Kipling For Bag Collection

She may be a '90s veteran, but Helena Christensen has been keeping busy these days. The Danish model's latest project is a collaboration with Kipling -- yes, the crinkly nylon bags with the fuzzy monkeys attached.

The Telegraph reports that Christensen has designed an 11-piece collection for the Belgian bag company, with "spring florals" being the main motif. Vogue UK notes that the designs include leather and lace prints, leading us to assume that the line will be a step up from Kipling's classic nylon fare.

This is not Christensen's first time at the design board: In her post-runway career, she's designed a lingerie collection for Triumph and collaborated with Ali Hewson on the eco-friendly line Edun.

Christensen feted this new project with a party in London on Thursday night alongside several fashion friends. Not in attendance? Kim Kardashian, who Christensen recently defended in a strongly worded "open letter."

Hey, maybe soon we'll spot Kim carrying a Christensen for Kipling bag.
