Alec Baldwin and I are running neck and neck in a Celebrity Smackdown for charity. Sure, Alec Baldwin is cool. Sure, Alec Baldwin is very funny. Sure, Alec Baldwin has won every honor under the sun for his hilarious turn as "Jack Donaghy" on 30 Rock. As one of our finest actors, Alec Baldwin has given amazing performances in countless films including The Departed, Glengarry Glen Ross and The Cooler. But dammit, I am the guy from High School Musical, who just released his second album, (Speed of Light, in stores now), thank you very much. And I want to win.
All of the charities in the Smackdown are very deserving. My charity is Stand Up to Cancer. SU2C accelerates groundbreaking cancer research, getting new therapies to patients quickly and saving lives. SU2C is bringing together the best and the brightest in the cancer community, encouraging collaboration instead of competition. Cancer affects one out of every two men and one out of every three women. So we need to band together and stand up to this terrible disease.
