'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo': Raise Given To Family

"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" took the country by storm and TLC has redneckognized that and has given the family a compensation boost. According to TMZ, the network gave the Thompson/Shannon clan a raise after the second episode of Season 1.

The raise, according to TMZ, took the family from about $5,000-$7,000 an episode to between $15,000-$20,000 an episode. The network also reportedly offered to cover various expenses, including a bodyguard/driver for Sugar Bear after his mud-boggin' accident.

"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" has been a ratings hit for TLC. Over its 10 episode first season, the series averaged 2.3 million viewers, its most-watched episode had about 3 million viewers.

TLC renewed the series for a second season and three holiday specials. The stars of the show were reportedly in talks for a raise for Season 2.

"'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' has become a pop culture phenomenon," Amy Winter, general manager of TLC, said in a statement. "What you see is what you get and we are excited to share even more of Alana and her family's unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers."
