Here's The Biggest O.J. Simpson/Kardashian Coincidence Of All Time

"O.J.: Made In America" is mostly Kardashian-free. Unlike a certain scripted series that heavily traded on the reality TV family's name as a way to attract younger viewers, the five-part ESPN documentary, which concludes on Saturday night, didn't include interviews with a single Kardashian or Jenner.

It's a little odd given that Robert Kardashian was, if not a real member of Simpson's defense team, a longtime friend and confidante. Plus, Simpson tried to shoot himself in Khloe Kardashian's childhood bedroom.

In an interview in April, director Ezra Edelman told The Huffington Post that Kris Jenner declined to be interviewed for the documentary, which, again, is odd since Jenner has never been shy when it comes to discussing the murders or Simpson. While the Kardashians weren't directly involved in the film, it does include what might be the greatest pop culture coincidence involving Simpson and the Kardashians ever:

On the night Simpson was arrested in Las Vegas in 2007, he predicted “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” wouldn’t “last two weeks.”

Thomas Riccio -- the man who helped Simpson orchestrate the mission to recover his stolen memorabilia in Las Vegas -- claimed that before the robbery on Sept 13, 2007, he was in Simpson's hotel room watching television with the former NFL player when they turned on “The Tyra Banks Show” and saw Kim Kardashian announce her family’s new show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

“That’s my goddaughter. Her name is Kim,” Riccio remembered Simpson saying.

Ricco went on to mimic Kim talking about premiere of her family’s reality show and how her father was a great lawyer who was famous for working on Simpson's defense team.

According to Ricco, Simpson started yelling at the TV, "That’s bullshit! He was a family friend. Baby, your dad was shit. That show ain't going to last two weeks."

We checked and, yes, Kim did appear on the show the same night as the robbery, Sept.13, 2007. And, yes, Kim was or is his goddaughter (Sugar Ray Leonard is another godfather of hers, apparently).

Almost a decade later, Simpson is currently serving a 33-year prison sentence for armed robbery, kidnapping and other charges, while “KUWTK” is in its 12th season.
