HGTV Dream Home 2011 In Stowe, Vermont On Sale For $2,995,000 (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

You don't have to be a winner to feel like one. (Though a hefty bank account will help!)

Each year since 1997, HGTV has rounded up vendors and manufacturers to collaborate on building a designer home teeming with amazing features, beautiful furnishings and top-of-the-line appliances. Viewers enter for a chance to win the HGTV Dream Home, which is located in a different city every year, on the network's website.

As amazing as it would be to be named the grand prize winner, it's not a secret that these homes often end up back on the market, as they are expensive to maintain and aren't always in a convenient location for the lucky homeowners. That's the case with the 2011 prize, a breathtaking Stowe, Vermont ski home originally gifted to Eric and Catherine Makstenieks of Hinsdale, Illinois, who won the drawing out of more than 76 million entries.

According to Top Ten Real Estate Deals, the young family of four had never visited Vermont prior to winning and their jobs in Chicago prevented them from heading there often. That being said, the family has recently listed the 3,400 square foot Adirondack-style abode, which comfortably sleeps 14 guests, for a reduced price of $2,995,000 by Landmark Realty Ltd.

This amazing property has three bedrooms, spa-like bathrooms, soaring windows to take in the mountain views and an open floor plan perfect for entertaining. We're dreaming about the fabulous apres ski parties we could throw in this space! Watch the video below of a tour of the home to see some of its best features.
