High School Football Team Skips Game To Get Healthy For Postseason

High School Football Team SKIPS Game

I suppose this is the high school variation on the annual "We're resting out starters in Week 17 in an effort to get healthy for the playoffs" meme we see across the NFL. And every year, the media chastises coaches for resting players only to wonder why they didn't do it after somebody goes down with an injury. It's a vicious cycle.

Whatever, former NFL quarterback and University of Utah star Scott Mitchell now coaches high school football. And he couldn't come up with a good reason to take his Springville, Utah squad to a game against Mountain Crest (Hyrum, Utah) ... so he kept them at home.
