Say what you will about Justin Bieber's music, at least it's helping orphans in Ghana -- albeit indirectly -- by driving the students of Tenino High School in Tenino, Wash., absolutely nuts.
Administrators at the school have opted to play Bieber's highly repetitive 2010 hit single "Baby" over the school's intercom until they raise at least $500 for a sister school in Ghana, Africa. (For the uninitiated, Bieber says the word "baby" 54 times in the song's 3 minutes and 44 seconds.) According to the Centralia Chronicle, Bieber is blared only after a class period ends and students are changing rooms before the next class starts.
The horror.
The un-Belieb-able tactic has already been more than enough to get students to "donate, donate, donate, ooooohhh!" Notes The Associated Press, Bieber hit the intercom Monday morning, and by that afternoon, the strategy had raised more than $330.
Asked for comment by King5 News, student Zack Chamberlain responded, "My head is about to explode right now."
A suburban Chicago school also played "Baby" ad nauseum for a 2011 fundraiser, ultimately raising $1,000. Like, baby, baby, baby -- whoa!
