This week one of the most feared horror films returns to theaters as the "Evil Dead" reboot makes its debut.

Director Sam Raimi's original "Evil Dead" film was released in 1981. Working on an estimated budget of $375,000, "Evil Dead" became a cult classic, earning $2.4 million at the box office. Recent horror films such as the "Paranormal Activity" franchise, have followed suit, filming on small production budgets and making a big splash at the box office.
