A Hilariously Accurate Depiction Of What Budget Airlines Are Really Like

Beware of the $1 beer.

Travel is stressful. Budget travel is nothing short of a nightmare.

Airlines like Frontier and Spirit tout themselves as a cost-efficient way to fly, and yes, they certainly are more affordable than some other travel options. However, after you're slapped with taxes, bag check costs and other fees, that bargain suddenly becomes way more than you bargained for.

Perhaps that's why this GIF, "If RyanAir Ran A Pub," posted to Reddit and translated from a YouTube Video posted by The Happy Gang resonates with all travelers, not just the ones that frequent European airline RyanAir, which is infamously cheap (and sneaky, too).

The interaction between bartender and customer is a hilariously accurate depiction of what flying with a budget airline is really like. Nonsensical restrictions and charges for things you need (like a glass to drink draft beer out of) quickly turn that cheap, $1 beer into a steeper $8 one.

Take a look at the LOL-worthy video below.
