In case you haven't been up on your pop-stars-from-2003 gossip, Aaron Carter attempted to win back his ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff via a series of embarrassing tweets this past March.
First, he coyly retweeted a photo of her:

Carter made sure to clarify that he was, in fact, referring to Hilary Duff, as he confirmed to one fan who asked "Are you talking about Hilary Duff?" with a reply tweet, "sure am."
So when Buzzfeed sat down with Hilary Duff this week, they thankfully asked her the question on all of our minds: “Aaron Carter keeps declaring his love for you, how do you feel about it?”
Duff laughed and told Buzzfeed, "I was not expecting this question. He does, I keep seeing that, that he keeps doing that. I don’t know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I’m still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just …"
"… Don’t know each other?" Buzzfeed helpfully chimed in.
"Yeah, don’t know each other … so … yeah."
But man oh man, those 15-year-olds sure looked happy together ...
... Eleven years ago.
Taking a page out of Hilary Duff's book, we'd have to say Aaron Carter is officially so yesterday.
