Hilbert Potter, Disabled Kentucky Veteran, Helps Other Amputees Learn To Walk Again

After machine gun fire claimed Hilbert Potter's leg during Operation Desert Storm, he learned to walk again with the help of a prosthetic leg and a devoted physical therapist. His experience inspired him to want to help other amputees learn to walk, so that their disabilities would not hold them back from leading a normal life.

Potter now works with the Kentucky Orthopedic Rehab team, with which he founded the LEAP program, helping disabled people like himself re-learn to walk.
