Hillary Clinton 2016? Fans Show Support During First Speech Since Leaving State Department

'Hell Yea Hillary 2016!'

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke at the Kennedy Center Tuesday night, and her fans were there to support her.

In her first public appearance since stepping down as head of the State Department, Clinton made a 12-minute speech at the Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards. Members of the Ready for Hillary super PAC cheered her on outside the event, according to the Associated Press. Fans held signs reading "I'm Ready for Hillary" and "Hell Yea Hillary 2016!"

Ready for Hillary, which filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission in January and officially launched its website Tuesday, is made up of Clinton supporters eager for her to run for president in 2016.

"We are going to keep up the energy and excitement surrounding her potential candidacy," the group wrote in a release. "To succeed we need to start building an extensive field program -- getting neighbors talking to neighbors, organizing on college campuses, and putting together the winning team of supporters that will help Hillary win in 2016. Together, let's send a resounding message that America is ready for Hillary."

While Clinton has not announced any plans to run, early polls suggest she could be a frontrunner in the 2016 presidential election.
