Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton released a campaign ad Thursday featuring a voice-over by actor Morgan Freeman.
"Her church taught her to do all the good you can, for all the people you can, for as long as you can," Freeman says over a montage of black-and-white photos that depict Clinton doing charity work.
In the minute-long ad, titled "All the Good," Freeman talks about how Clinton could have entered a prestigious law firm after she graduated from law school, but instead focused on policymaking and reform.
"She worked to reform juvenile justice in South Carolina, exposed racism in Alabama schools, registered Latino voters in Texas and provided legal aid to families in Arkansas," Freeman says.
The ad goes on to argue that Clinton's presidency would help Americans held back by a "system tilted against them."
"And there are far too many of you," Freeman says.
This ad, released ahead of Saturday's Nevada caucuses, follows another TV spot, also released Thursday, aimed at Latino voters with immigration legislation on their minds. In that ad, "Brave," Clinton is seen comforting a young girl who is scared her parents might be deported.
"I'll do all the worrying, is that a deal?" Clinton tells the child. "I'll do everything I can to help. OK?"
Clinton, a former secretary of state, has had difficulties convincing voters of color that she has their best interests at heart. She currently faces criticism for helping her husband, former President Bill Clinton, enact crime laws and anti-drug policies during his presidency that led to the imprisonment of hundreds of thousands of people, most of them black or Latino.
Clinton's team has been working for months to mobilize voters of color through campaigns like "Hillary Is Just Like Your Abuela" and having the candidate meet with Black Lives Matter activists. Clinton also said this week that she intends to take on immigration reform during the first 100 days of her presidency.
