Ready For Hillary Rents Clinton's 2008 Campaign Email List

Pro-Clinton Group Rents Her 2008 Presidential Campaign Email List

Ready for Hillary, a group urging Hillary Clinton to run for president in 2016, rented the former secretary of state's email list from her failed bid for the White House in 2008.

Time Magazine reported the group emailed Clinton's past supporters on Sunday, offering a free bumper sticker and asking for donations, because Clinton “needs our support” as she decides whether to run for president.

Seth Bringman, a spokesman for the super PAC, told Time that “Ready for Hillary rented the hillaryclinton.com email list to connect with her past supporters.” The rental proved to be a success for the pro-Clinton group:

Ready For Hillary claims that it has over a million supporters and over 25,000 grassroots donors. Bringman, Deputy Director Alissa Ko and Craig Smith, a senior adviser and major Clinton ally, traveled to New Hampshire on Monday to meet with political leaders and activists in the state, with a trip to Iowa planned for later this month.

Clinton has said that she will announce whether she will run "sometime" in 2014.
