On Wednesday January 23, 2013, Hillary Clinton sat before a senate foreign relations panel to address last September's attacks on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya that resulted in the deaths of four Americans.
While the circumstances that necessitated Clinton's testimony couldn't be more serious, many who viewed them criticized the GOP's approach to the hearing, accusing them of grandstanding and politicizing a national tragedy.
While questions still remain around whether more could have been done in advance of the attacks, Hillary stood her ground and left with her post-secretary of state political options still open.
