Hillary Clinton's Michael Kors Award Further Cements Her Fashion World Prominence

Hillary Clinton Further Cements Her Fashion World Prominence

Hillary Clinton and the fashion world go together like peanut butter and... well, not jelly, but a more unconventional condiment that works well in the metaphorical sandwich. Want proof? Michael Kors has chosen the politician as the first recipient of his award for Outstanding Community Service.

God's Love We Deliver, a charitable meal providing organization, has added The Michael Kors Award to its annual Golden Heart Awards roster, with Clinton as the award's debut honoree. Not only does this recognize her contribution to ending world hunger, but it's also quite the style industry shoutout.

Although known for her signature scrunchies and pantsuits, Clinton has become the belle of the fashion ball as of late, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Anna Wintour. She was also handpicked this year to deliver a CFDA award to Oscar de la Renta, one of her favorite designers (remember the de la Renta number she wore on her 1998 Vogue cover?). She even has a sense of humor about her look, cracking a joke about launching "Project Pantsuit" during her CFDA speech.

With quips like that, we have a feeling that Hillz will only continue to endear the snarky fashion world. She'll be receiving her Michael Kors Award on Oct. 16, but until then check out a sampling of her style over the years below.
