Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton rode the New York City subway on Thursday.

It took five swipes of Clinton's MetroCard to get through the turnstile at the 161st Street station at Yankee Stadium. She rode one stop to the 170th Street station on the 4 train, according to CNN's Dan Merica.

Clinton's ride follows what many considered to be a gaffe by her rival, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who told the New York Daily News you use tokens to access the subway.
