Hines Ward Calls NFL Officials 'Hypocrites' (VIDEO)

WATCH: NFL Receiver SLAMS League As 'Hypocrites'

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward reportedly slammed the NFL on Wednesday, saying that league officials are hypocrites over the issue of player safety.

Ward made a long rant to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, saying that the NFL doesn't care about the players.

"If you were so concerned about the safety, why are you adding two more games?" Ward reportedly said. "They don't care about the safety of the game."

The 13-year veteran went on to say that the NFL treats the players as if they're guilty until proven innocent.

Linebacker James Harrison, Ward's teammate, was fined $25,000 on Tuesday for a hit on Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Harrison has been fined four times this season totaling $125,000.

Ward is not the only one lashing out at the NFL over the fines. Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher called the league's actions "bull" on ESPN Radio on Wednesday morning. Scroll down to watch the video.
