'Hitchcock' Photos: Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren & Scarlett Johansson Star In New Film

Fox Searchlight surprised many Oscar watchers when it announced that Sacha Gervasi's "Hitchcock" would debut right in the middle of awards season. Out Nov. 23, the film -- which chronicles director Alfred Hitchcock relationship with his wife, Alma Reville, during the production of "Psycho" -- is still cloaked in mystery: It's one of the few Oscar contenders without a trailer or fancy festival premiere date.

In an effort to kickstart the campaign, however, Fox Searchlight has released some new stills from the film, showcasing Anthony Hopkins (as Hitchcock), Helen Mirren (as Reville) and Scarlett Johansson as "Psycho" star Janet Leigh.

It's expected Hopkins will compete for Best Actor against Joaquin Phoenix ("The Master"), Daniel Day-Lewis ("Lincoln"), John Hawkes ("The Sessions") and perhaps Denzel Washington ("Flight"). Check out the photos below.

"Hitchcock" is out on Nov. 23.
