H&M's Olympics Uniforms To Make Swedish Athletes The Most Stylish Competitors (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Why The Swedes Are The Coolest Kids At The Olympics

It's official: The Olympics are becoming a major fashion moment.

H&M has announced today that it will design uniforms for the Swedish Olympic and Paralympic teams for the games in Sochi, Russia, in 2014, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2016. The Olympic kits will include outfits for the opening and closing ceremonies along with extra duds for training and hanging out in Olympic Village, Women's Wear Daily reports. We're already imagining streamlined silhouettes and some amazing Scandi-style graphic prints.

Luckily, we don't have to run too wild with our imagination -- H&M has already released a few photos of the forthcoming uniforms. And from the looks of it, the Swedes might just be the coolest kids at the games.

For the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Stella McCartney's kits for Team GB and Ralph Lauren's uniforms for the American team both garnered their fair share of design (and manufacturing) criticism. Then, Spain's Olympic uniforms became the talk of the internet for their, er, vibrant quality.

Needless to say, H&M's kits should provide quite the stiff fashion competition at the next Summer and Winter Olympics. But the best part about the collaboration? The Swedish team will be road-testing sportswear that will eventually be available for purchase at H&M stores -- meaning one day we can all look as chic as our stylish pals up north.

You can expect to purchase H&M's Olympic-worthy pieces in January 2014. In the meantime, check out a sketch of the Swedish uniforms and some shots of athletes getting fitted below. Think people will be pleased with H&M's designs?
