Holly Rowe Pushes Reporter: ESPN Gets Interview With Michigan Coach After Sugar Bowl (VIDEO)

ESPN Reporter Boxes Out Journalist After Sugar Bowl

The 2012 Sugar Bowl between Michigan and Virginia Tech was broadcast on ESPN and featured Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge up in the announcer's booth and Holly Rowe reporting from down on the sideline. Following the Wolverine's first BCS Bowl win since 2000, Rowe showed her colleagues that a network doesn't become known as the "Worldwide Leader" in anything without using some strong-arm tactics.

During the frenetic postgame scene, Rowe sought out Michigan head coach Brady Hoke immediately after the game for an on-field interview. And nobody was going to scoop Rowe -- even if they got there first.

In the video above, another journalist seems to have beaten Rowe to Hoke's side after the victorious first-year coach shook hands with Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer. So what did Rowe do? She displayed excellent boxing out skills, strong-armed the other reporter and won the first interview with Hoke.

So, now we know. Don't mess with Holly Rowe.
