We're Not So Convinced This Guy Is Channeling The Spirit Of Brittany Murphy

The "Hollywood Medium" claims to connect celebrities with their deceased loved ones.

So, there's a new show on E!, everybody ...

We haven't seen much of "Hollywood Medium with Tyler Henry" yet, but from the previews, it looks fairly exploitative and tasteless, so it's right on brand (and we'll probably watch every episode).

Described as "the clairvoyant to the stars," 20-year-old Henry has been making a name for himself in Hollywood circles, giving readings to celebs like the Kardashians, Bella Thorne and NeNe Leakes. His new series started with a bang Sunday night, when he "connected" with the spirit of the late actress Brittany Murphy during a session with actress Jaime Pressly.

"She's making my lungs hurt quite, quite a bit. Mentally, this feels strange, physically this feels strange," Henry explains to an initially quizzical Pressly, who was close friends with the "8 Mile" actress who died in 2009 at age 32.

"She's blaming an outside influence and saying she was in a very manipulative situation, where I actually feel an outside person was detrimental in influencing a lot of her actions or inactions in certain areas," he added, perhaps referencing Murphy's troubled relationship with her parents.

He then revealed that there was a reference to a "B" initial, leading King to eventually exclaim, "Brittany Murphy! Oh, my god!"

Cue some TV executive saying, "Cut, print, we've got our preview." Later in the episode, Henry describes Murphy's spirit in detail and explains why she's chosen to appear in the session.

"She's not coming through necessarily for you as much as she's referencing to you," he said. "She has messages for other people."

For all those crying bullshit on his abilities (guilty), Henry likes to think of himself as a connection between our world and the deceased.

"My readings are really about connecting people, whether it's to their deceased loved ones and finding the closure through that, or connecting them to insight into their personal lives," he explained in the premiere. "Those are the connections that I aim to make and those are what make the biggest difference."

Watch Henry work his magic with Kim, Khloe and Kourtney below during a guest spot on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" back in November.
