We've been known to go gaga over abandoned theme parks, like Berlin's Spreepark , Beijing's Wonderland and Rio's Terra Encantada.

Closer to home sits Holy Land U.S.A., a former Bible-themed amusement park in Waterbury, Connecticut. Originally opened by local lawyer John Baptist Greco in the 1960s to celebrate the Bible, the park welcomed some 40,000 people interested in its heyday before closing in 1984.

Today, the park remains closed and is private property -- so here's a glimpse of the park that you can view from your desk.
