In everyone's perfect winter wonderland, a dog (probably) exists.
So why not make your wintry dreams come true, and give a deserving rescue pup a home?
Online pet supply retailer Dog & Co. teamed up with Brooklyn, New York-based nonprofit Sugar Mutts Rescue for a snow globe-inspired photo shoot called "A Home for the Howlidays." The series featured rescue pups from the organization and was done in an effort to get these lovely dogs adopted.
Dog & Co. owner, Melinda Montney, told The Huffington Post that she regularly works with Sugar Mutts on photo projects to help the rescue dogs get adopted. While the dogs didn't wear costumes in the previous shoots, Montney and photographer Robert Stoetzel decided to kick it up a notch and get the canines dressed up in their best winter wear.
"We wanted to show that they have these sweet personalities," she told HuffPost. "Put a Santa hat on them and they're sweet and they're funny and they're not throwaways -- they're waiting to be somebody's pet."
The owner said that she and Stoetzel had a blast working with the dogs. The only challenge?
"Robert gets a ton of kisses because he's ... eye-level with the dogs," Montney said. "So we have to take a lot of cuddle breaks because sometimes they're like ... 'I wanna jump in your lap and give you kisses!'"
Sounds like an amazing problem to have!
The pups below are all still looking for a forever home. And with the snuggly personalities these guys have, we have a feeling they'd all make amazing additions to a loving family.
