The interior design experts at Laurel & Wolf are firm believers in the philosophy that you are only as productive as your workspace is stylish. Entrepreneur and lifestyle blogger Brooke Burnett, aka One Small Blonde, couldn’t agree more. So when she found herself uninspired by her bedroom-office, she turned to Laurel & Wolf for a redesign.

“As a fashion blogger,” Brooke says, “clothes tend to get thrown all over the place. Now that my bedroom is complete, it’s helped me become more organized with my clothes and blog posts.” She’s a whizz with clothes and jewelry, but found herself less confident when it came to outfitting her room. “I’m so indecisive when it comes to home decor,” she says. “I love styling my wardrobe, but home decor is so permanent and stressful! I can put together an outfit any day, but when it comes to visualizing something long-term I freak!”

Brooke was paired with Laurel & Wolf designer Caroline Rodgers, who was able to apply Brooke’s steam-lined and sophisticated fashion sense to her bedroom design. She did this by establishing a black and white color palette with metallic accents, which suited Brooke perfectly. “I’m not one for bright colors,” she says, “which is why you see a lot of white with subtle accent colors. I like modern design, but also want comfortable and cozy living spaces.”

To soften the classic black and white motif, Caroline interspersed touches of pink throughout the room, like in the vase of hydrangeas on the dresser and the blush throw blanket on the bed. The leopard pillows and studded headboard add just a pinch of spunk to the space.

From start to finish, Brooke adored her Laurel & Wolf experience. “I loved that my designer was able to use the Laurel & Wolf platform to virtually show me what the bedroom would look like before making such large purchases,” she says. “It helped me feel more at ease with buying new items.”
