A dad's delightful homage to the chaotic, giggly joy of spending the day with his 21-month-old son has gone viral on the Internet in the last few days.
Emio Tomeoni's time-lapse video, which captures an afternoon with his son, Xavier, has been watched more than 400,000 times since it was uploaded on YouTube on Dec. 23.
The clip, according to the video's description, is the "comprehensive report on the happenings of father and son while mama is away for the afternoon."
Tomeoni, a 30-year-old video producer who lives in Kansas City, Mo., told the New York Daily News that he made the video as an attempt to show his wife what a day at home with Xavier looks like.
“I’d tell her that the house was a disaster and that I was tired by the end of the day,” he told the newspaper. “She’d just say, ‘Good, good.’ She didn’t understand because she came home to a clean house.”
In the video, Tomeoni and Xavier can be seen playing in the living room -- multicolored "cars, blocks and balls" spilling out of the boy's toy box and tumbling, scattered here and there, across the floor. The pair can also be seen sharing tender moments throughout the clip -- a giggle here, a snuggle there; moments that Tomeoni says are what he hoped to share with his wife, Stephanie.
"I do a lot of videos for my wife. She loves them. They're a little personal glimpse into our life. I wanted to show her something to make her smile," the dad told ABC News.
Stephanie reportedly went gaga over the the short film, but she wasn't the only one who was moved by her husband's ode to their son.
"This is the cutest video ever," declared contributor Eve Vawter on the website Mommyish.com, joining legions of other netizens who have fallen head over heels in love with Tomeoni's clip.
On his part, the dad-turned-YouTube sensation says that he never could've imagined just how popular his clip would become.
"It was really odd. I looked at it when I was done with it, and my thought was, 'My wife is going to love this -- mainly because the house was clean at the end of the day and I changed his diaper.' That was my initial thought," Tomeoni told ABC News. "But after I got some random feedback, it seemed like it could be big."
Though Tomeoni may be YouTube's viral dad of the moment, he's not the only film-savvy parent who has created time-lapse videos of his kids.
