'Homeland' Star Claire Danes Pregnant: Season 2 Impact Unlikely

Will Claire Danes' Pregnancy Affect 'Homeland'?

"Homeland" star Claire Danes is pregnant, but the show is still shooting Season 2 -- will her pregnancy affect production of the Showtime drama?

A representative for Fox, one of the production company's behind "Homeland," told The Huffington Post that Danes' pregnancy is not likely to impact production of Season 2. But will it be incorporated into the actual story?

"[W]e do not as a matter of policy comment on what the producers have planned in terms of storylines," the rep said in an email statement.

Season 2 of "Homeland" picks up six months after Season 1 ended.

"Carrie has had, for the first time in her life, the benefit of professional help for her disease," "Homeland" executive producer Alex Gansa told HuffPost TV's Maureen Ryan. "She will have been in the psych ward for awhile. She will have been in the care of a psychiatrist for six months. She will have undergone a series of these ECT therapies. [The treatment we saw in the Season 1 finale] is not just a one-off."

And what about Brody? "He is going to be a congressman as the season opens," Gansa said. "His seat is vacated through a scandal, and he was appointed by the governor into that seat for a temporary period of time until the election."
