'House': Thirteen Returns, Wilson Accepts His Fate

Olivia Wilde reprised her role as Thirteen on the penultimate episode of "House" (Mon., 9 p.m. ET on Fox) to help give Wilson some perspective, and House a kick in the pants. Wilson continued his struggle to come to terms with the fact that he was dying, and spent much of the episode waffling between two decisions.

He could either go through rounds of chemotherapy in hopes of extending his life several years, though much of that would be spent in hospitals and dealing with the health issues chemo brings, or he could simply allow the disease to progress as it will. In that scenario, he has about five months to live.

House fought him through most of the episode, for ultimately selfish reasons, and Wilson nearly acquiesced and agreed to fight to live, if only for House's sake. In the end, though, the pair decided to let Wilson enjoy his final months and spend as much of it together as friends.

This got complicated, though, when House backed up the pipes in the hospital with a prank against Foreman gone wrong. It caused extensive damage, including taking out an MRI machine. Because of the extent of the damage, the police were called in, evidence pointed to him, and he's in violation. He has to go back and serve out the rest of his sentence, which is six months -- one month longer than Wilson has left to live.

Next Monday is the series finale of "House." Find out how it all ends at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
