House Tour: Dehn Bloom Design's Allison Bloom Remodels A California Bungalow (PHOTOS)

She Found Her True Calling While Designing Her Family Home

Sometimes it takes a while to realize our true calling. That was the case with Allison Bloom, a mother of three from Mill Valley, California. It wasn't until 2007, when she began remodeling the 1920s bungalow she and her husband Jim had purchased, that she realized she was meant to be an interior designer. And that was the start of her firm Dehn Bloom Design. To complete her family home renovation, Bloom collaborated with architect Kenneth Holder, and together they designed a bright and airy space, which you'll see in this house tour brought to us by our friends at California Home + Design.

Bloom and Holder opened up the floor plan and added several windows so the family could take in the beautiful mountain scenery. Lots of white combined with natural materials, clean-lined elements and some fabulous flea market finds make this eclectic home feel organically modern.
