Housing Works Employees Dressed Like Robin Hood Arrested During Aids Day March (VIDEO)

WATCH: Protestors Dressed Like Robin Hood Arrested During Aids Day March

13 activists dressed as Robin Hood were arrested after blocking traffic in Lower Manhattan on Thursday while protesting Mayor Bloomberg's cuts to AIDS services in the city.

The arrests followed a march in awareness of the annual World AIDS Day that started in Zuccotti Park. Among those arrested were several Housing Works employees, including President of the advocacy group Charles King. King spoke of the arrests:

We were not afraid of Bloomberg's blue-clad Sheriffs of Nottingham today. Bloomberg opposes taxes that force the rich to pay their fare share and supports policies that rob poor New Yorkers with AIDS of income and lifesaving services, such as housing. He is a veritable scoundrel.

Last year, Housing Works employees displayed a similar protest against what they deemed as "devastating" cuts made by the made by the Bloomberg administration to city services to help low-income people with AIDS. Unlike this year however, protestors wore giant bagel costumes and were heard rallying, "Cream cheese and chives won't save lives."
