'How The Gingrich Stole Christmas': Paul F. Tompkins Narrates 'Grinch' With A Newt Twist (VIDEO)

WATCH: 'How The Gingrich Stole Christmas'

You might consider it a comedy miracle that GOP presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich became the frontrunner right before the holidays. Otherwise, Funny Or Die wouldn't have been able to make this Gingrich/Grinch parody, and the Internet would be worse off for it.

By tweaking the original "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" just a little bit and adding an excellent Paul F. Tompkins narration, the classic Christmas tale becomes as topical as can be.

And transforming the Grinch into the Gingrich is easier than you might think: a sheet of white hair and a little more plump in the cheeks is about all it takes (imagining his wife Callista as his canine companion is just a bonus).

Watch the full tale unfold above. As you'll see it stays pretty true to the original "Grinch," aside from a swapping of Whos with Obamas. Not to mention, Malia Obama makes a pretty cute Cindy Lou Who.
