How to Achieve Anything You Want

There was a time about six years ago where I quit everything I started.

I said I was going to make a fitness related membership site... I quit.

I said I was going to write an eBook... I quit half way through.

I said I was going to create a product that helped people stay on track and achieve their goals... I built the entire website, sales funnel, wrote the copy, developed the product... then quit before I ever launched it.

This was something I struggled with for a very long time. I felt like a fucking idiot; why would I put all this effort into these different projects, only to ditch them before I could even reap any benefit from them?

My problem wasn't knowledge or quality; most of the products would have done very well financially and personally, and I probably could have helped a lot of people solve their problems in the process. What my problem was was getting in the Champion Mindset.

The first questions everyone asks when they become a coaching client of mine is, where do I get my traffic, or where should I run ads, or what should my sales funnel look like? And every single time I bring them back to reality and tell them before we get into a single shred of strategy, we first need to figure out why you haven't been successful to this point in the first place.

The overwhelming majority of the time, it's because the person doesn't even truly believe the results are possible. They may "kind of" believe it, or think it "may" be possible for "some people." But that's not good enough. You must believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that what you dream of will be reality; it's only a matter of time.

The best and easiest way to do this is with the power of visualization. You're probably thinking "Holy shit, really? What a concept! (in a sarcastic tone of course)." But hear me out on this one...

It's easier to give up when you don't have a clear path to what you are trying to achieve. When I was thinking of that membership site and eBook, all I was thinking about was adding a nice little stream to my income. And that's why it failed; it never had a real tangible purpose for me.

When I started my online business, it was after years of giving up and not really trying on all these little projects, and I was quite frankly tired to death of it. So this time around, I decided I'm going to do it for real. I'm going to make this a clear and concise vision; who I'm going to serve, how I'm going to serve them, and why. I'm going to decide what my income will be, and what I do with that income, and exactly what my life will look like when this is all in motion.

Not only did I visualize it in my head every single day, but I printed out pictures of where I wanted to live, what I wanted to be doing with my time, and what car I wanted to drive. I hung them up on my bedroom wall and looked at them every day, saying to myself, "I will live here" or "I will drive this car."

And guess what? As soon as I held myself accountable, gave myself a reason why, and provided myself with the consistent vision of my future, something amazing happened... that shit actually started to come to fruition.

I now run a successful online business, host an awesome podcast on iTunes, and create products that help so many people, while simultaneously supporting my family; and I live where I told myself I would all those years back. It's an amazing process of growth that you have to go through yourself to truly appreciate and see the beauty in.

So for those of you that need help getting started, here's some steps you can take to build your dream life or dream business:

1. Get a clear picture of what you want to achieve in your head: Make sure you can see the vision of what you want to achieve crystal clear in your mind.

2. Put it on repeat: It's not enough to think about it once and forget about it. Habits are formed with daily practice. So continue to run this movie of your future self in your mind every single day until it is materialized. The easiest way to do this is to put on some light instrumental music as soon as you get out of bed, and simply take your first 10 minutes to visualize.

3. Start to have your vision everywhere: Now that you have the clear vision in your mind, write it in words in a journal. Be as descriptive as possible; even minute details are important. I even like to have a tack board in my room where I cut out pictures from online and from magazines that fit my vision, and I'll post them so I seem them every morning when I rise.

4. Take the first action steps Now that you have surrounded yourself with this vision, you need to take the first steps toward putting it into action. Remember that this is a marathon, not a sprint. The most successful people in the world faced many obstacles and adversity, but it was that undying belief that they could create their vision that kept them going and taking action. So convince yourself that it is not only possible, but it's a given. That kind of self-belief will ensure that you never give up or half ass the steps you need to take to see success.

So skip all the bullshit of quitting everything you do; I've been there and can tell you it's a very lonely and depressing place. Instead, grab your goal by the horns and really start to map it out and keep a constant eye on it. And finally, remember this is a game of consistency. The man (or woman) that continues to chug along no matter the weather, wins.
