You may have not accomplished all of your business goals last year, I know I didn't and I'm big on goal setting and getting stuff done. But sometimes you bite off more than you can chew and I'll raise my hand to that too.

Maybe now...no... now IS the time to refocus and recharge to get back on the grind but in a better and more productive way.

You might think what I'm about to share with you is simple...and it is. I don't find any pleasure in complicating things and truthfully, it can ALL be simple if we make it that way.

1. Get your pen, get some paper, and write it down. Let me tell you, there's nothing like the good old fashioned pen and paper. We sit at the computer all day or we're on our phones checking social media stuff, and that makes it easy to just pull up the Notepad and jot stuff down. NOOOO! Do it the old way for this my dear. It makes a difference, for real.

So, let's say you have already written down your goals, and maybe your situation has changed. When this happens, it's time to prioritize. Ask yourself, "What is it that I really want?" You see how simple that is? Whatever you write down, make that your focus until it's complete.

2. Get a plan in place. If you expect to be successful, having a plan to implement should be coupled with that. Don't just expect it and wait for things to happen on assumptions. If you fail to plan you plan to fail - a statement that we all know is very true.

You can start by creating a clear outline of what you would like to achieve, daily. Small tasks will keep you in motion and you'll eventually end up on the other side of it. You can do this. At the end of the day it's about exercising that self-control muscle of yours. It takes THAT and discipline to accomplish anything.

3. Clear your space. I remember when I had my first session with a past coach and we talked about getting rid of clutter. I had a ton of things in my work space, mostly on top of a dresser. This was mainly because my son was a baby at the time and to keep him from getting into stuff, I had to put it up where he couldn't reach it. Ugh! It was so depressing to look at. But she told me that cleaning out my space would make a world of difference in my productivity and how I felt on the inside. Usually when your space is cluttered, so is your mind. That's not such a good thing. So, I guess a habit of being organized is a priority.

If you're working from your laptop, set up a dedicated space to work in. I'm not saying you should be anal about it, but a clean work space will do you a lot of good by helping with keeping all your files and important docs in one spot and you'll know every time that when you sit at that space it’s time to work.

This can be extremely helpful, particularly if you’re struggling to stay motivated and focused during work hours.

4. Create a vision board for your goals (this can be digital). Simple and inspirational. What this does is remind you of all your important goals and desires. You can do a couple different things here. It would depend on if you're doing this digitally or offline. Take a trip to Wal-mart or Officemax and get a plain board. You can either put your written goals on the board or cut out words and images from magazines. Digitally, you can print them out or use Pinterest.

Include things you're working towards getting for yourself and/or your family. Be bold about it. New house, new car, trip around the world...put it all on there. It's yours, so do what you want with it.

If you need pics of family and friends to stay inspired, put them on there too. The point is to stay focused while you're on the journey. And if you really wanna get funky with it, have a vision board party with some of your peeps. Most importantly, have fun with it!
