How NOT To Ask For A Divorce, According To A Woman Who Lived It (VIDEO)

'I May Be The Classic Case For How Not To Ask For A Divorce'

There is no good way to tell someone you want a divorce -- but some ways are definitely worse than others. That lesson was learned the hard way by writer Lorraine Berry, who says she’s a case study for how not to tell your spouse you want out.

Berry sat down with Huffington Post Live's Nancy Redd on Monday to talk about the not-so-stellar-way she told her husband she was pulling the plug on their 12-year-marriage.

“Unfortunately, I wound up telling my poor husband that I wanted a divorce late at night on the telephone when he was 3,000 miles away," she said.

Berry, who has written about her split in the past, told Redd that, “In retrospect I would have done it face-to-face.”
