There's nothing worse than stepping out of the shower fresh and clean only to be met by an awful dank odor coming from your towel. These linens are a prime spot for mildew to grow since they often stay damp for long periods of time. Fortunately, there is a way to get rid of mildew smells from towels that is simple and easy.
First, wash the towel in a washing machine using a quarter cup of baking soda and hot water. (You can put other light-colored clothes in to make a full load.) After the cycle completes, wash it again using regular clothing detergent and a quarter cup of white vinegar. Finally, dry the fabric in a drying machine that is set on the hottest and longest setting.
