When you are seeking more than brains, books and business know-how, tune into your intuition to make the best decisions. Intuition is the answer you get from an instinctive feeling rather than conscious reasoning. You may have heard people refer to it as a "gut instinct." However, your intuition is the all-knowing compass that can assist you in achieving success at an accelerated rate in every area of your life.
To have intuitive success, you have to begin to listen to your inner voice and trust it enough to act on it. Your intuitive instinct can come to you in many ways. Here are a few ways to recognize and maximize on your instincts.
- Follow your hunches. Anytime you feel a sudden prompting or urge to do something, pay attention. I strongly believe that you should follow your hunches. Whether you have a gut feeling to show up to a certain place, talk to a certain person or make a certain phone call, follow through on it and see where it leads you. Following your hunches will open new doors and bring you clarity on your success path.
Ideas come every day and you are more likely to pick up and act on them when you are tuned in. Inventors use intuition to come up with new inventions and this is often how many famous inventions are born. There are many successful business people who follow their intuition and got major breakthroughs in their business and life. Here are just a few examples from the last century of people who achieved success after acting on their hunches:
- In 1903, during a trip to New York City, Mary Anderson noticed that drivers had to open the windows of their cars when it was raining in order to see. As a solution, she invented a swinging arm with a rubber blade that drivers could operate from a lever within the vehicle. By 1916, her windshield wipers were standard on all cars.
The great thought leader Albert Einstein once said, "The only real valuable thing is intuition." Einstein himself believed that a person's own intuition was a gift that should be valued and treated as sacred, and he was right. The next time you're faced with a big decision or inspired with a new idea, take a moment to explore your inner voice and determine your next move for success.
Your coaching clue to go and do:
Get up 15 minutes earlier than usual tomorrow morning and meditate quietly. Afterwards, visualize yourself at the peak of success. Write down every idea and answer that comes to you during this time.
